They apply to every plan, including the free one, and they don’t change retroactively. Formal legal terms are being finalized with counsel; where lawyer-language and this page could ever disagree, we hold ourselves to whichever protects your family more.
A lapsed account becomes read-only - nothing is deleted, and full export stays free, forever. Your family's photos and every answer remain downloadable in standard formats whether you're a customer or not. We will never hold memories hostage to a renewal.
Features and limits that applied when you joined don't get taken away later. If your plan carries our founding-family price lock, your renewal price never rises while your subscription stays active - in writing.
You are the customer, not the product. Nothing in your archive is used to target, sell, or advertise anything to anyone.
Originals are stored untouched and export byte-identical. Dates, locations, and camera information in your files are preserved end to end - and the names, dates, and stories your family adds are written into the photo files themselves, readable by every serious photo tool.
Anything suggested by software - a face match, a date estimate - is labeled as a suggestion, requires a person to confirm it, and is reversible. Nothing silently rewrites what a family member said. Your photos and answers are never used to train AI models.
You must be 18 or older to own an album or to accept an invitation to one, and you must own or have the right to share what you upload and to name the people in your photos. Albums are private to the people their owner invites, and nothing is public unless you choose to make it so. If you ever do make part of an album public, you are responsible for what you publish, and you confirm that no living person is shown or named publicly without their consent - and for a living child, without a parent or guardian’s. Don’t use ShareView for anything unlawful, and don’t upload content that harms others - we can close accounts that do, with export still honored. Subscriptions renew annually until cancelled; cancelling triggers promise #1, not deletion. The exact age and consent rules are being finalized with counsel.
