ShareView is built on open-source software. We’re grateful to the people who write it, and this page carries the notices and licenses that come with it.
The third-party notices list every open-source package in the code your browser runs, with its exact version, its license and its copyright notice. It’s generated from our dependency list each time the site is built. We use JSZip under its MIT license option.
To show HEIC photos, your browser runs heic-to, which includes libheif and libde265. All three are licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 3, which builds on the GNU General Public License, version 3. Their full source code is available at those links, and the version we use is listed in the third-party notices.
We haven’t modified them. ShareView loads the decoder as its own separate script file, and only when a HEIC photo needs decoding. So you can swap in your own modified build of heic-to, for example with your browser’s developer tools (“local overrides”), and the rest of the site keeps working with it.
Our typefaces, Instrument Sans, Karla, Lora and Source Serif 4, are licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1: Instrument Sans, Karla, Lora, Source Serif 4.
